kebek
is a protest performance that explores themes of resistance, exploitation, and struggle through repetitive, visceral and symbolic actions. The installation—marked by a bucket soliciting spit, and a mud-stained, unrecognizable flag—serves as a visceral commentary on the physical and emotional toll of systemic injustices faced by immigrants, temporary migrant workers, and international students in Canada. This piece critiques the cyclical exploitation where Canada benefits economically from migrants while simultaneously marginalizing them through restrictive policies.
