Jojo de la Rocka
renamed after my own's by the people I met during my time at Performancear o morir, this performance is a propagation of the encounters and experiences I collected during my stay in Mexico. It weaves together various references: the myth of Sisyphus, the invisible labor of women in society, feminicide, and my own personal history.
Wrapped in barbed wire and bells, a stone is dragged from the entrance of the town of Norogachi to the walls of the cemetery. With the dragged stone and the help of the women who witnessed the action, we restored a fallen part of the wall—turning burden into structure.
